Intro Dance

This course is designed to build students' knowledge of movement through the exploration of the Elements of Dance: Time, Space, Energy, Weight, Style, and Relationships.  Students will be required to learn and perform choreography, demonstrate knowledge of dance technique and terminology, and create original material.  All of this will culminate in a final concert at the end of the semester.

Advanced Dance is designed to further instruct students in all areas of dance, with an emphasis on advanced dance techniques and choreography. Students in this class will explore the process of creating dances, and the stimuli that promote choreographers to create original works.  Students will also venture into more complicated Modern Dance techniques, including site-specific choreography and improvisation.

Students at this level are considered company members and are expected to represent Workman Theater and Dance at our many community performances.
