At our Prom, every Lobo looked extremely elegant as we lined up to enter the Imperial Palace in Pasadena. Inside, the lights were dim and faintly shimmering on the tables and matched perfectly with our masquerade theme. At the beginning of the evening, friends tried to find other friends to take photos and group selfies. Everyone complimented each other’s outfits and took quick pictures before the dancing started. When dinner was ready everyone lined up quickly. The DJ played the popular tunes that everyone dances to in order to get the party started. Soon after, a dance off broke out, and that really got the place hyped up. Everyone rushed to the dance floor and showed off their moves. Hip-Hop, R&B, and Spanish music blared all night. Almost all the tables were empty for most of the evening; everyone too busy dancing the night away to sit down. Finally, some people took a break to cool down and take pictures. A line formed at the Caricature Station, where couples and friends had their image drawn. The caricature drawings would serve to preserve this signature moment for us. Time went by quickly, and before we knew it, only 30 minutes were left. During this period, everyone was once again on the dance floor. This was the last high school dance for many of us. It was fantastic and unforgettable. Jason Diec and Mary Magaway were crowned Prom King and Queen. ~ Diana Martinez
