6 Rules of Design

The 6 fundamental Principles of Design are: balance, proximity, alignment, repetition, contrast and space

'By all means break the rules, and break them beautifully, deliberately and well.'

Robert Bringhurst

The Elements of Art

The elements of art are both fun and useful. Remember: lineshape

form, spacetexture,

value and color. Knowing these elements will allow you to analyze, appreciate, write and chat about art, as well as being of help when you create art yourself.
